  • Parents and students,
    Welcome to Mr. Kozloff's Webpage!
    Welcome to 2021!
This week we will focus on reviewing the coordinate plane- quadrants, positive and negative coordinate points, distance between two points, and more. Fun!!. We will also continue with students learning 10 topics in ALEKS.
Once again, all grades can be found in PowerSchool, which is the grading system used by Cabarrus County. Canvas is a learning management tool used for daily lessons, and NOT for all grades to be posted. Please check PowerSchool for all graded assignments, as not all assignments are embedded in Canvas.
Please remind students that they are responsible for 10 topics in ALEKS every week, Monday thru Sunday. I will go over this expectation at minimum 3x this week and every week as this is a weekly graded assignment on the ALEKS program. It is also listed as an assignment weekly.
Please remind students to watch my videos on this website and that will help with these new concepts, as well as additional links given also on the tab marked "Useful Links" and try Khan Academy, Sal Khan is awesome at explaining math concepts.

Mr. Scott Kozloff

Welcome to Mr. Kozloff's Class of 2020-2021

I am very excited to have your students in my math class this year. I am an extremely happily married man to my wife Charlene; we have three "perfect" children (ha-ha) named Elle (25, graduate of UNCC Art/Education, teacher at Druid Hills Academy in Charlotte), Simon (22, University of SC Columbia), and Alex (16, Cox Mill HS), Nemo (10 lbs.) and yes, a Maltese, not a fish, and Lenelle, our 30 lb. Basenji. All three children are/were avid soccer fans and club/college players. We have lived in Concord for seventeen years and love Cabarrus County.
I believe that every child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing a classroom/virtual leaning center that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites sharing of ideas.
Please feel free to contact me with anything you may need and I look forward to working with your family and your student this year.
