Principal: Andrew Crook
Mr. Crook graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993 with a B.A. in English. In 1998, Mr. Crook graduated from Wake Forest University with a Masters of Arts in Education. Mr. Crook entered the teaching profession as an English teacher in 1993. He worked in South Carolina, Rowan-Salisbury Schools, and Wake County Public Schools before teaching in Cabarrus County. From 2002-2007, Mr. Crook taught English at Central Cabarrus High School. He taught English at Hickory Ridge High School from 2007-2010. He earned is Administrative Licensure from Wingate University in 2009 and returned to Central Cabarrus High School in 2010 as the Assistant Principal of Instruction. In 2014, he assumed the role of Principal at Central Cabarrus. Mr. Crook and his wife Liliana have two dogs, Bella and Pacino. Mr. Crook enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching movies, traveling (especially to Peru, his wife’s home country), playing golf, and cheering on the UNC Tarheels.Assistant Principal of Instruction: Mark LowryMr. Lowry graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2005 with a B.S. in Middle Grades Education and entered the teaching profession as a Mathematics teacher at J.M. Alexander Middle School, where he taught from 2006-2009. Mr. Lowry entered the Educational Leadership program at UNCC in 2009 and received his Masters in School Administration from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2011. Mr. Lowry was a Principal Intern at Cox Mill High for the 2010-2011 School Year. In 2011 Mr. Lowry became an Assistant Principal at Cox Mill High School. Mr. Lowry and his wife Cherie have two children, Charleston (Charlie) and Whitaker (Whit). Mr. Lowry enjoys spending his free time with his family, running, and cheering on the Carolina Panthers.Assistant Principal: Casey Campbell
Mrs. Campbell graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004 with a B.A. in English. In 2004, Mrs. Campbell began her graduate studies at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she received her teaching certificate and degree in the Masters of Arts in Teaching Secondary English. Mrs. Campbell entered the teaching profession as an English teacher at Jay M. Robinson High School, where she taught from 2006-2009. Mrs. Campbell joined Cox Mill High School in its inaugural year and taught English as well as served as the yearbook advisor until 2014. Mrs. Campbell entered the NC Principal Fellows Program in 2014 and received her Masters in School Administration from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016. Prior to joining the administrative team at Cox Mill High School, Mrs. Campbell served as Principal Intern at Weddington Hills Elementary School for the 2015-2016 school year and Assistant Principal at East Rowan High School from 2016-2017. Mrs. Campbell and her husband, Chris, have a precious daughter, Chloe. Mrs. Campbell enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, watching movies, and traveling.

Mrs. Shomaker grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia and graduated from Bridgewater College with a B.S. in Education. While attending Bridgewater, Mrs. Shomaker played basketball and lacrosse. After teaching Health and Physical Education and coaching for fifteen years, Mrs. Shomaker earned her Master’s in Administration and Leadership from Shenandoah University. Mrs. Shomaker was an assistant principal at Stewart Middle School in Augusta County and then at Central Cabarrus High School in Cabarrus County before moving to Singapore. After three years living abroad, Mrs. Shomaker rejoined the Cabarrus County Family and served as assistant principal at Harris Road Middle School before joining Cox Mill. Mrs. Shomaker is excited to be back in high school working with the staff and students at Cox Mill. Mrs. Shomaker lives at Lake Norman with her husband, Bo, and dog, Finn. She is an avid paddle boarder and runner.
