Resources:
Amaze.org --> My personal favorite...a wealth of animated videos about the physical, emotional, and social aspects of adolescence as well as a great educational source for parents. Connect with them on Facebook for live sessions and webinars!
Loveisrespect.org --> Focuses mainly on differentiating between healthy and unhealthy friendships and dating relationships. A great place to start a conversation about consent.
Teachingsexualhealth.ca --> My "go to" for medically accurate, current sex ed. information with lesson plans by grade level and subject matter. Very user friendly with an entire section for parents
http://www.iwannaknow.org --> A kid friendly website of the American Sexual Health Association. Good information for teaching STI prevention.
https://youngmenshealthsite.org/ --> This is Boston Children's Hospital's website geared toward adolescent males.
https://youngwomenshealth.org/ -->Same as above except for females.
https://kidshealth.org/ --> We use this site in class all the time for all units/topics. Includes factual "encyclopedia style" information on a wide variety of health topics. Section for parents and all grade levels.
