Mrs. Gardner

Welcome to Physical Education with Mrs. Gardner.  I have been working in Cabarrus County for 15 years as a Health and Physical Education teacher and served as the softball and volleyball coach at JN Fries and Winkler.  I am really looking forward to another great year at Northwest.
I grew up in Lynchburg, Va where I played volleyball and softball in high school.  I attended Catawba College in Salisbury where I played softball for 4 years.
I am a huge advocate for children and adults to live a healthy active lifestyle.  My goal is to educate students on how to make healthy choices in all aspects of their life;  physical, mental and emotional, and social health.
Dress out Policy
Students are expected to dress out daily.  Dressing out consists of the Northwest PE shirt and black pants, shorts, joggers, etc.  A PE uniform can be purchased during class and anytime during the year.  Shirt = $10/black shorts = $10.
Daily participation = 80% of final grade
Assessments (Run Day/FitnessGram/Canvas Assignments) = 20% of final grade
Please see the PE letter found in the document section of my webpage for more information.
