Mrs. Amanda Ward

Welcome to 4th grade! I am very excited to have you in my class. It is going to be a great school year! I feel privileged to be a part of your child’s learning. It is my belief that we are a team working together as partners in the education of your child. I am looking forward to getting to know each of your children watching them grow and learn everyday.

A little bit about me- This will be my eighth school year at Wolf Meadow Elementary School and I am very proud to be here! I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. I just recently graduated with my Masters from UNCC (December 2017)! I grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and have been a resident of Charlotte and around this area for the past 10 years. I have one cat named Rosebud that is very spoiled!

Homework

  • Students' materials will be in their binder. Please ensure that their communication binder comes back and forth to school each day. Please remember to look at your child's agenda every night. This is where they write down the title of the book they are reading, how many pages read, and for how long. This is also where I will write important notes. Students will learn that we do not want to be just good at something; we want to be the best! That is why we READ every night at home. Your child can take a book home to read each night or enjoy any reading material at home. We ask that all 4th graders read at least 30 minutes a night. Also, please review and sign your child's citizenship report daily in their agenda.
