Parents and Cadets
Welcome to 2019/2020 School Year. We are so proud of the accomplishments of the cadets enrolled in our program and look forward to another fun, challenging and eventful year. For Academic School Year 2018/2019, our cadets helped our JROTC program to earn for the 13th consecutive year, the "Distinguished Unit Award," a remarkable achievement and one of sustained excellence, but this year, since it was an inspection year, they earned the "Distinguished Unit with Merit Award", and even more remarkable achievement. We are proud of all of our cadets and are looking forward to continued success by our cadets. If you are interested in being a part of the JROTC program this year, please talk to one of our cadets, or call Lt Colonel Martin or Senior Master Sergeant Smith at 704-260-6720, extension 45245 or see us in Room A245. Also, any parent or guardian interested in being a chaperone for some of our events, please go to our school's website and click on "CCS Volunteer" under the Quick Links category. Next, you will click on "Volunteer Now" under the Volunteering category.Cadets are required to wear the Air Force JROTC blue uniform once a week and for the entire day on Wednesdays; repeated failure to wear the uniform as required and/or properly on Wednesdays will constitute failure for the uniform grade and subject to removal from our JROTC program. For physical training (PT) classes, cadets are required to wear their PT uniforms on Fridays. Additional information on uniform wear requirements is referenced in the cadet training guide, which is in the classroom and taught within the first two weeks of the semester. Information is also referenced in the cadet contract, signed by a parent/guardian and the cadet.
As of 16 March 2020, due to the school closure beginning 16 March 2020, cadets may access supplemental material for JROTC on the Google Drive. Cadets need to access their school email account to view Shared documents. If you have any questions, please email Lt Col Martin, firstname.lastname@example.org or SMSgt Smith, email@example.com for any concerns or questions.
Week of 9 - 18 March - Continue activities researching the cultural similarities and differences on the International Space Station (ISS). Cadets will be working in teams of 3-4. Cadets will research a country that is part of the ISS.
On 9 September, all cadets will be added to our Cadet Google Calendar. At this time, they will have full access to all JROTC events, and be able to share the calendar with their parents/guardians.
