Mr. Todd Smith, Principal
Mr. Smith graduated from Appalachian State University in 1992 with a B.S. in Social Studies/Secondary Education and entered the teaching profession as a Social Studies teacher at West Charlotte High, where he taught from 1992-1997. Mr. Smith entered the NC Principal Fellows Program in 1997 and received his Masters in School Administration from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1999. Mr. Smith was as Assistant Principal at Central Cabarrus High from 1999-2005. In 2005 Mr. Smith became the Principal of Jay M Robinson High, where he served as Principal from 2005-2008. In 2008 Mr. Smith was named Principal of Cox Mill High, where he served from 2008-2018. In 2018 Mr. Smith was named Principal of West Cabarrus High School, which will be opening in the Fall of 2020. This year Mr. Smith will be serving as Principal of Mount Pleasant High School until the new Principal is named in the Spring of 2019. Mr. Smith and his wife Shane have two children, Michael and Ellie. Mr. Smith enjoys spending his free time with his family and watching college football.

Mr. Lawrence Sullivan, Assistant Principal
Mr. Sullivan joined the Mount Pleasant staff in 2013. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History & Geography in secondary education from Clemson University, and a Master of Arts degree in School Administration from UNC-Charlotte. Before joining Mount Pleasant, he spent 9 years teaching Social Studies and as part of the administrative team at Union Academy. Most recently, he was the High School administrator at Lake Norman Charter in Huntersville, NC. He has also coached; XCC, Track and Tennis.Mr. Sullivan is a native of Connecticut but has been living in the Carolinas for the past 20 years. He is happily married to his wife Huanita and enjoys traveling & mountain biking when time permits.

Mrs. Meghan Frazier, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Frazier joined the Mount Pleasant staff in 2018. She holds a BA in English and Technical Writing from California State University Long Beach and a Masters of School Administration from UNC-Charlotte. Mrs. Frazier started her teaching career in 2003 at South Iredell High School where she taught English. She then moved to Northwest Cabarrus High School where she taught English and Journalism as well as coached the men’s and women’s tennis team. Mrs. Frazier completed her principal internship at Wolf Meadow Elementary School and most recently worked as the Assistant Principal of Instruction at Pitts School Road Elementary. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Frazier wrote for various automotive and motorsports publications.
Mrs. Frazier enjoys spending her free time with her husband Todd and two children, Cade (age 17) and Eve (age 15), and their dog Otto Bahn. While education is a big part of her life, away from school she enjoys hiking, reading, and all types of auto racing.
