Young Democrats Club

Welcome! Any student is invited to join this club, and learn about civic involvement and how to participate in the electoral process. Here are some good reasons to join the YDC!

* The club initiated, organized and ran a successful voter registration drive at the school.

* Club members are informed on various ways they can participate in their community.

* Students are elected to leadership positions within the school club and to positions with the Cabarrus County and the state party organizations.

* Club leadership can lead to exciting adventures! A founding member of our club and recent Cox Mill HS graduate (Vibhav K.) was elected as a voting delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention, which was held in Charlotte.

* The most important reason is this: Students learn first-hand about the importance of civic involvement in the living, breathing democracy that is the United States!

Meetings: 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, 2:15 p.m. (unscheduled meetings will be on announcements).

Location: Room 2307 (English hall - Ms. Smith-Arrants).

*See Calendar & Meetings/Agendas links for special meetings and other events.
