Welcome to Wolf Meadow Elementary School. This year is going to be a great year, and I am excited that you will be here to help us make this year one to click your heels about.
I graduated from the University of Charlotte with dual bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education. As a classroom teacher, I taught second, fourth, and fifth grade for thirteen years. I am Nationally Board Certified as a Middle Childhood Generalist. For the five years prior to my arrival at Wolf Meadow, I worked in Cabarrus County as a Lead Teacher and PreK-12th Grade Instructional Specialist. I earned a master of art in Educational Leadership from Western Governor’s University.
I joined the Wolf Meadow family in 2013 as an Assistant Principal and have enjoyed every year since.
Wolf Meadow is a special place to learn. The teachers here are talented not only in their profession but also in building a classroom community of independent thinkers. We think our theme for the 2016-2017 school year is perfect for where we are as a staff and community of learners. It is time to take our teaching, learning to the next level.
When I am not at Wolf Meadow working with students, parents, and teachers, I enjoy reading good books, running many miles, and traveling with friends and family.
Please feel free to contact me this year if I can assist you or your student in any way.Courtney Smith-Assistant Principal150 Wolf Meadow DriveConcord NC 28027704-786-9173Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Welcome to the Wonderland that is Wolf Meadow Elementary! I know the 2017-18 school year will be an exciting journey for all of us, and will be filled with new experiences and challenging learning opportunities! I am honored to begin my second year with the Wolf Meadow Elementary School family as the Assistant Principal and am looking forward to growing with each of you.
Did you know I began my career in education here in this very building as a Teacher Assistant? I was inspired to become an educator here, and this school will always hold a special place in my heart. Before I was drawn to the field of education, I received my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from UNC Charlotte. Although I grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, I am a UNC 49er to the core, and have lived in the Charlotte area since 1993. I also earned my Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Master’s in School Administration from UNCC, and am working towards my Ed. D in Educational Leadership from Western Carolina University.
I am proud to say that I have worked in the Cabarrus County School District for all my years in education. I have served at Pitts School Road Elementary School, Mount Pleasant Middle School, and C. C. Griffin Middle School. One of my proudest accomplishments was during the 2013-2014 school year, when I was selected to represent Cabarrus County Schools as the District Teacher of the Year.
I believe that the Wolf Meadow family is the best community around, and has an incredible potential for achievement. I am inspired by the students and teachers every day, and am proud to be a part of this group of innovative, independent thinkers. Thank you for allowing me to learn and grow with you all. This year, let’s challenge ourselves to set new goals each day, and to set them high. Here at the Meadow we believe the impossible happens every day, it just takes determination!
