Welcome to my 6th grade ELA course. In this class, we will explore  multiple texts, become better readers and engage in a great deal of collaboration! Students will learn to be critical thinkers and analysts. Students will work to extend their vocabulary, as well as their ability to be a global-minded thinker.

I have worked in education for over 17 years. I taught middle school for 5 years in South Carolina.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Limestone University, a Master's in Technology in Education from Lesley University, an Associate's Degree in AIG Instruction from Converse College, and an Advanced Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb University.

I have a husband and two daughters, both in elementary school.

I love to travel to other countries, most recently traveling to Jamaica, and spending time with my family and friends.
