Master of Arts in Teaching Comprehensive Sciences UNC Charlotte Graduate Certificate in Teaching Comprehensive Sciences UNC Charlotte Bachelor of Science Respiratory Therapy SUNY Stony Brook

Ms. Romona Kumar

Hello Wolverine Families!  My name is Romona Kumar and I am excited to be a new science teacher here at West Cabarrus.  I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.  I got my BS in Respiratory Therapy from SUNY Stony Brook and I started my career as a Respiratory Therapist in NYC.  My husband and I have 3 kids and we are in our 8th year of living in Cabarrus County and it has been great.

I completed my Masters of Arts Degree in Teaching with a concentration in Comprehensive Sciences from UNC Charlotte in December 2021.  I enjoy reading, baking, watching my son play baseball and being a Girl Scout troop leader for my daughter's troop.  This semester I will be teaching Earth and Environmental Science and Physical Science.

All course information is located on our class Canvas page.  I will be posting weekly updates on Canvas and all parents have the option of becoming a parent observer.  You can click here for information on how to create a parent account.  This semester, I will communicate through announcements on our class Canvas page, email, and the Remind app.  My email and Google voice number are located on this page if you would like to contact me via email, text or phone call.

I can't wait to meet all of our student scientists!
