Direction/What’s New – Broadcast class will be taking on a creative student centric approach with add-ons such as chorus appearances, car karaoke, student renditions of Saturday Night live, weather forecast and so much more. In addition, we now have Instagram where students can receive weekly recaps and use as an activity reference. Feel free to follow the Broadcast Instagram page @hrhsbroadcast today. Lastly, there will be an alternative podcast/radio style component added as well. My goal is to educate each student, professionally enhance cosmetics, pull talent from each organization and make broadcast a “must see” for everyone here at HRHS. Broadcast will have a group of 15 new students and 5 veterans. A total of 20 students in the class.
When, what and how to submit – We will begin accepting content for the morning announcements on February 5,2020. Moving forward please submit content you desire to be aired no later than 7:15a Monday – Friday. If you have spoken announcements or videos to submit for announcements, you can submit them from the school's webpage. Video submissions must be 1 minute or less. We’ve been asked to keep announcements less than 10 minutes long and today we exceeded that. Videos must be recorded on an iPhone or you can schedule a time to be recorded in the Broadcast studio via a student producer, simply send us an email at Hr.Broadcasting@cabarrus.k12.nc.us. Preferably 1st period, 3rd period or immediately after school. You can find the Google form under Quick Links.
How to view the Daily Announcements:
- Announcements can be found in your email or on the HRHS Webpage on the Broadcasting Page. How to locate announcements on the webpage. Go to the HRHS website, click on organizations, click on broadcasting and the announcements will display.
Lastly, Broadcast students and Mrs. Harrison will be reaching out to all organizations to get an interview scheduled. No worries it won’t be long. However, it is important that we broadcast all that we embody here. This is OUR news so we will move forward in a collaborative fashion. Afterall, high school level news should be informative and fun.
