Welcome to my webpage!

My name is Josie Hensley! This is my first year teaching and I am so happy to be a 3rd grade Roadrunner! 

I grew up in a small town called Marion, North Carolina. I moved to Denver, North Carolina in 2015 and graduated there at Lincoln Charter High School in 2017. I graduated college this past Spring from UNC Charlotte with a double major in Elementary and Special Education and a minor in Reading Education.

This year is going to be amazing and I can't wait to build relationships with my students and create a positive, safe classroom environment! 

Some random fun facts about me: 

• I love to read in my free time.
• My favorite drink is vanilla or caramel iced coffee.
• Polar bears are my favorite animal.
• I absolutely love Taylor Swift. 
• Tacos, ice cream and sour gummy worms are the best! 
• The beach is my happy place.
