Mrs. Rindy Moore
Mrs. Moore has served the PLC as the Communities in School Student Support Specialist since August 2015. Communities in Schools of North Carolina is a 501(c)3 partner organization with the Performance Learning Center. Her role in the school is to work as part of the Student Services Team and implement the Communities in Schools model.
The Communities in Schools model provides wrap around services in the areas of Attendance, Behavior, Coursework, and Parent Engagement (ABC+P). She provides these services through three tiers of service: Tier 1 (school-wide); Tier 2 (small groups); and Tier 3 (individual). This year she is focusing on the "C" piece of the Communities in Schools model with a goal of increasing credit completion among PLC students. Because we are preparing students for life outside of high school she will also be providing College and Career exposure, as well as basic financial literacy.
Mrs. Moore is a native of Cabarrus County and is passionate about serving the youth in the area. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master of Arts in Sociology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
