My name is Clare Diamond.  This is my third year teaching 1st grade at Irving.  I have a degree in Elementary Education from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.  I have worked in education for over 20 years as a teacher and a teacher assistant, in Charlotte-Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Kannapolis City schools.  

My husband and I have raised two daughters, Maureen, 24 and Molly, 23.  I was born in Australia and have been around the world a few times.  I hope to incorporate some of my travel experiences into our IB curriculum and help your child become a global thinker.
