Dear Parents,

I am so excited to introduce myself to you as your child’s 2nd grade teacher. Teaching is an
absolute passion of mine and I am thrilled to work with you and your child
this school year. I’d like to take a little time to tell you about myself.

For college, I attended the University of Mount Olive and majored in
Elementary Education, as well as minored in English. Over the years I have acquired a wide
range of experiences working with elementary students through jobs and activities such as
tutoring, camp counselor, and assistant teacher. This is my second year teaching and I am
ecstatic to work with you and your child this school year!

I am a native of Oriental, NC, located on the coast. A few of my favorite things are the beach,
dark chocolate, and a good book! This summer I got married and moved to the Concord area.
I am so eager to begin a new adventure at W.M Irvin Elementary!

As a teacher, it is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. I look forward to
helping your child continue to grow and succeed this school year. I believe it is important to
keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the
need!
