About Me:

Welcome to my history classes! My name is Carly Coccaro and I am a recent graduate of Western Carolina University with degrees in both History and Social Science Secondary Education.  This is my second year teaching at Cox Mill High School and I am so excited to be a Charger again (CMHS is my Alma Mater!)!

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!), but I grew up in Concord, NC.  Yes, I have always been a history nerd.  In fact, whenever I was a child and someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I often said an "Egyptologist" or a historian that studies ancient Egypt.  I am so grateful to have to opportunity to teach my passion! Along with history, I enjoy spending time with family and my dogs, Lilly and Dyson. I also enjoy watching sports! My favorite teams are all from my hometown. Theater and traveling are also things I am passionate about!  This summer, I was able to visit new and exciting places including Copenhagen, Denmark! However, my favorite place to visit will always be Washington D.C.

I am so excited to have you all in my class this semester!
