Mrs. Myneesha King

Meet our Chargers new Theatre Teacher. Mrs. Myneesha King is a native of Pittsburgh, PA. Mrs. King earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree at North Carolina A&T State University where she studied Professional Theatre with a concentration in Acting and Directing. Mrs. King and her family have resided in Charlotte, NC for 5 years and has grown to love NC as home. She has taught Theatre in NC at Kipp Charlotte Academy, Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School and J.T. Williams Secondary Montessori School. She has also served as a Teaching Artist with Davidson Community Players and Saltworks Theatre in Pittsburgh. Mrs. King currently serves as House Manager for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Mrs. King's professional experience as an actress includes work with the Barn Dinner Theatre in Greensboro, NC, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Kuntu Repertory Theatre, Pittsburgh Playwright's Theatre and the August Wilson Center for African American Culture. She also worked as a Stage Manager with both Kuntu and the August Wilson Center. Mrs. King's work as a Director includes productions with Pittsburgh Playwright's Theatre, Penn State Extension, various summer camps and school performances. She is passionate about students, education and theatre and is thrilled to be working at Cox Mill High School.
Mrs. King is married with three sons, all of whom she deems as her most prized possessions!
