8th Grade Ceramics

Welcome to the art world at Concord Middle School!

This will be my 4th year teaching at CMS (1st year teaching art) and my 7th year teaching overall. I first taught at Knox Middle School in Salisbury before becoming a miner. Teaching is my second career as I am retired after serving over 21 years in the military (Air Force, Army, Army National Guard). My wife and I have 5 children and 6 grandchildren.

I received my BA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in middle grades education. My areas of concentration are in ELA and Math. I also studied at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. I am very excited to be teaching art this year!
