Hello! My name is Emberly Carter. I was born and raised in Smithfield NC. I graduated from Fayetteville State University with my Bachelor in Science in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in Reading and Math and Elementary Education add on. I have been teaching for 8 years, this will be year 9. I taught for Cumberland County Schools  and have been teaching in Cabarrus County for the past 2 years. This will be my third year at Winecoff Elementary!  I have four phenomenal children Kiana ( age 19), Summer (age 14), Josiah (age 8), and Trevor (age 1)! I love my family, coffee, and a good book or a good movie.

I believe we never stop learning, therefore as my students learn from me, I learn from them as well. In our classroom we learn to be leaders, to be be proud of ourselves, continue to grow, and treat everyone and ourselves with respect. This year will be a new journey for us all. It will be a fabulous, productive, and unforgettable year! I am elated to be your child's teacher this year!
