  • I was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina and am a Cabarrus County native. I graduated from NC State University with degrees in history and religious studies and a minor in middle eastern studies.  I love to explore the outdoors which is what gave me my passion for understanding the world around me and how I relate to it and inspired me to go into religious studies.  While I am very passionate about the Bible, my true passion is teaching students to understand their 'why'. I love being able to present students with a challenging concept and help them work through the steps until they finally understand the content, but also how it fits into their daily routine and life. My goal as a teacher is not just to make more knowledgeable students, but better thinkers and learners as well. I am looking forward to getting to know all of my students and having a great first year as a Charger!
