Mrs. Amy Cochran
My name is Amy Cochran and I am currently serving as a school counselor for students with last names beginning I-P. In addition to serving these students, I am the school chairperson for Award's Day, the RCCC Career and College Promise program, NC Governor's School nominees, College and CCP Informational Night, NC School of Math and Science dual enrollment, and our new Freshmen Keys to Success program. In addition, I serve Concord High as the Scholarship Chairperson and facilitate the nomination process for the Morehead-Cain, Levine, Park, Jefferson, and Belk scholarships.
I previously taught English for ten years, and I am currently in my fifth year as a school counselor. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Liberty University. I enjoy assisting students in schedule planning, college exploration, personal issues, or anything that is important to students. I have been married to my husband, Corey, for 29 years and have four children, Ellie, Justus, Isaac, and Sam. As a parent and as a school counselor, I understand the significance of a positive school experience and will strive to help each student to thrive.
