Dr. James Davis

W.M. Irvin is under the leadership of the principal, Dr. James Davis.  Dr. Davis is an experienced educator and school leader who began his career in education as a classroom teacher at Concord Middle School.  He completed his principal intern at Bethel Elementary and became assistant principal at Northwest Cabarrus Middle.   He worked as a principal in Rowan-Salisbury Schools for four years and was named the Wells Fargo Principal of the Year twice. In 2012, James returned to Cabarrus County Schools as principal at Winecoff Elementary School before moving to higher education. He recently was an associate professor and doctoral program coordinator at Coastal Carolina University.  He began his tenure as principal of W.M. Irvin Elementary School in January 2022.

Ms. Misha Fletcher

Ms. Misha Fletcher grew up in Florida, where she began her teaching career in 2012 in Broward County Schools as a 4th grade teacher. She also taught 2nd - 4th grade at Imagine Schools in Florida. In 2017, she moved into administration as the assistant principal at Imagine Schools. Ms. Fletcher joined Cabarrus County Schools in 2021 as an Assistant Principal at West Cabarrus High School. She holds a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership K-12. Misha likes to hang out with her Boston Terrier, watch movies, and try new restaurants.

Mrs. Shirma Stover-George, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Stover-George grew up in Charlotte and is a proud West Charlotte High School alum.  She attended North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  Eagle Pride!  She began her teaching career in 2002 in Durham Public Schools.  She also taught in Wake County Public Schools until moving back home in 2017.  Mrs. Stover-George joined Cabarrus County Schools in 2018 as a 4th grade teacher at Winecoff Elementary School.  She holds a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and is a May 2022 graduate from High Point University with her 2nd master's in Educational Leadership/Administration.  Before joining the Irvin family Mrs. Stover-George completed her internship hours at Concord High and Central Cabarrus High.  She was later hired as the Dean of Students/Assistant Principal at Winkler Middle School from March to June.  In her spare time, Shirma likes to spend time with her family, binge watch shows on Disney+ and Amazon, and listen to music.
