This year is going to be a great one and I look forward to the opportunities and new experiences it will hold.I joined the Harrisburg family in 1998 as a classroom teacher, winning the Cabarrus County Sally Mae First Year Teacher Award in 1999. I taught kindergarten for 14 years, representing the school as Teacher of the Year in 2005. In 2012, I moved into the leadership position of Instructional Technology Facilitator, graduating in 2015 with a Masters of Education in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University and earning the Impact through Education Award in 2013.This year, I look forward to beginning a new adventure as the Assistant Principal of Instruction. I am currently attending Appalachian State University in the School Leadership program. I will complete my School Leadership certification in December of 2016.
