Mr. Christopher Smith

Mr. Smith has been blessed to served as principal of PSRES for three years. There is no place he would rather serve.  Mr. Smith started as an elementary school teacher and has now served as a principal for seven years.  He has an amazing wife and two middle schoolers, Jackson and Mollie, who keep life fun and interesting. He is proud to live and work in Cabarrus County.  He is committed to helping make PSRES one of the best schools in all of NC with the help of our talented and wonderful teachers and staff and our most extraordinary students.

Mr. Andrew Whedbee

Mr. Whedbee is proud to serve the students and families of Pitts School Road Elementary.  He is a Cabarrus County product as he completed his K-12 education in CCS.  Mr. Whedbee joined CCS in 2011 as a middle school math teacher after earning his Bachelors in Middle Grades Education from UNCC.  After pursuing his Master’s degree in School Administration as a NC Principal Fellows in 2018, Mr. Whedbee joined PSRES as the Assistant Principal of Instruction.

He is excited about being a Panther and is committed to the success of all students at our school!

Mr. Whedbee is married to his beautiful wife Amanda, has two sons, Camden and Nathan, and a beautiful daughter Reagan.

Mrs. Pia Workcuff-Holmes

My name is Pia Holmes and I am the Assistant Principal at Pitts School Road Elementary School.  I received a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Coastal Carolina University and  Master's Degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina.  My Specialist Degree is in Curriculum and Instruction. I am so proud to serve at PSRES where children come first and they know they are loved, respected and supported while achieving their goals. Our students are amazing and watching them learn and grow every day is such a privilege! At our school, we are a family and there is absolutely no place else like H.O.M.E.(Heartfelt Opportunities to Motivate and Educate)!!
