Mrs. Courtney Ranieri
My name is Courtney Ranieri and I will be your child’s learning connections teacher this year. I was born in NW Indiana and moved to Cape Coral, FL when I was a teenager. That being said, I am a huge Chicago Cubs and Indianapolis Colts fan! In FL, I attended Edison Community College and received my Associate of Arts in General Education. I later received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2004. I worked as a nurse intern for a short period and moved into the Child Advocacy Dept. I worked at The Children’s Hospital of SW FL for 6 years as a Child Advocacy Instructor and Safety Event Coordinator. I then was inspired to go back to school to help other young children, when I had a daughter who was born deaf. My family moved to North Carolina and I went to graduate school at UNC-Charlotte to become a Special Education teacher. I completed my student teaching internship here at Odell so I am very happy to be back. I worked in Mooresville, teaching inclusion 5th grade reading and math for 2 years. I have wanted to get back to working with younger children—so I am super excited to be working with your K-2nd graders! I am married to my wonderful husband Jim for 14 years now and we have three amazing children: a twelve-year old son, Padyn, an eleven-year old son, Carsyn who will both be attending Harris Road Middle and a nine-year old daughter, Rielyn, who will be in 3rd grade down the street at Odell Elementary!
I hope to create great relationships with you and your child while helping them learn, grow and achieve their educational goals. I pride myself on great communication skills and welcome parental involvement. I am always just an email away! With your help we can have a very fun and successful year.
