CVA 2022-2023

Now OPEN for all grade levels for Second Semester. If you are interested in joining CVA as a student for the 2022-2023 school year, we have an interest form located on our website under New and Noteworthy. Once that is filled out, staff will review all required information to determine if there is space available for your student. Students that are enrolled in The Virtual Academy in grades K-8 have a required in-person day once per week, while high school students have a flex day where they can have on-campus time with their teachers once a week as well.

K-2: Mondays
3-5: Tuesdays
Middle School: Wednesdays
High School: Thursdays (Flex Day)

Principal's Message

I joined Cabarrus County Schools as a teacher at Concord Middle School in 2006. I also worked at Mount Pleasant Middle School as a teacher before moving to Central Cabarrus High School as the instructional technology facilitator in 2012. I joined the administrative team at C.C. Griffin Middle School in 2017 as an Assistant Principal and then joined the administrative team at Central Cabarrus High School. I earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master’s degree from East Carolina University. My passion is curriculum and instruction and technology integration. I look forward to working with CVA students, parents, and staff!
