     Welcome to Central Cabarrus Chapter of National Technical Honor Society!!!

    Central Cabarrus Chapter of National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce.

    NTHSofficers

     

    NTHS helps students:

    • Seek post secondary education by awarding over $200,000 in scholarship annually.

    • Position themselves ahead of competition in today’s highly competitive workforce.

    • Earn recognition for superior achievement in career and technical fields.

    • Build career portfolios with professional letters of recommendation.

    • Connect to global career and technical education networks.

    • Discover opportunities with leading business and industry.

    • Serve in leadership roles in communities and industrial

     

     

    Membership Qualifications -  (Invitational Yearly each October)

     

        Membership eligibility requirements already verified by your school’s NTHS Advisors:

    • Junior or Senior status

    • Minimum 3 Career & Technical Education credits with at least one credit being a 2ndlevel

    • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA unweighted

    • Minimum 3.0 CTE GPA unweighted

    • No Out of School Suspensions during high school career

    • No more than 3 separate In School Suspensions during high school career

    • Additional membership requirements for the candidate to complete:

    • Three (3) completed teacher recommendations – at least one must be a CTE teacher

      • List your three teachers on your application. NTHS advisors will take care of the rest.

    • Student written statement of school/community service projects

    • Display leadership qualities/strong work ethic though active involvement in at least one of the following:

      • Career Technical Student Organization (DECA, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, HOSA, Skills USA)

      • School-sponsored student service organization (Leadership, Beta, Interact, Key, etc.)

      • Civic or Service Organization (Scouts, Church, etc.)

     

    Active Members receive a membership certificate in a professional presentation folder. In addition, members receive an official NTHS diploma seal, graduation tassel, lapel pin, and window decal to show their affiliation with NTHS.   Graduating Seniors who are "active members" will be allowed to purchase a NTHS Honor cord in the spring of their Senior Year.
