I was born and partially raised in Independence, Missouri, the home of Harry S. Truman, our 33rd President. I moved to Holiday, Florida during high school. I attended the University of South Florida, where I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. Go Bulls! I then taught one year in Florida before moving to North Carolina. I continued teaching for a total of nine years in grades K-3. I integrated technology into my classroom whenever possible and realized I wanted to help others do the same. I received my Masters degree in Instructional Technology. This is my ninth year as an Instructional Technology Facilitator. I love helping teachers integrate technology into their lessons and teaching children through its use.
My husband is also in education. He is a high school teacher and soccer coach. He and I have a beautiful daughter, Nora that is four years old and two Boston Terriers, Sophie and Bella that keep us very busy. My daughter and I spend a lot of time on the side lines watching my husband coach soccer.
