Encore Rotation - Please read carefully

PLAN B STUDENTS - If students attend school in Plan B, they will be attending their Encore classes at school on the days they come to school. However, they will need to log in at home to their Encore class on the days they do not attend school.  For example, if you are in Mrs. Gentile’s class and you come to school on Tuesday/Thursday, you will physically attend Music and PE on Tuesday and Thursdays.  For DL, Media or Art, students will need to log in and watch the recorded lessons on Monday and Wednesdays.

*Once 4th and 5th grade students return to Plan A in March, they will receive all Encore instruction at school and no longer need to log in at home.

PLAN C STUDENTS - You will continue to do as you have always done and log into your Encore class at home.  Our Encore time is 1:00-1:50.  However, the rotation schedule has changed, please see below.

Monday - Digital Learning / Media Monday - Music

    Tuesday- Music Tuesday - Art

Wednesday - Art Wednesday - PE

Thursday - PE Thursday - Digital Learning/ Media

**Fridays - NO ENCORE FOR ANYONE

** DL and Media will rotate Week 1 and Week 2 - both classes will begin Week 1 with DL

If your child comes to school, please do a quick supply check to be sure they have everything they need.  We’ve had several students without headphones (which are a must) as well as the basics such as pencils, glue, scissors, etc.  Your child is welcome to leave an EXTRA bag of supplies at school in their cubby for days they are at school. This would eliminate having to bring their pencil pouch/box back and forth and potentially leaving it at home.

    Kindness Week

Last week we celebrated Kindness Week at CMES. Because it was a short week, we are going to extend some of the activities into this week. Attached to this email you will find a heart, bucket-filler ticket, and information on Cabarrus Health Alliance. Students were given information about these items during CMTV last week. If your child would like to participate, he/she may print out the heart and write a kind message on it for CHA and/or print out the bucks-filler ticket and write a kind message to anyone at Cox Mill. The notes can be dropped off at school this week. The hearts will be put on a banner that will be delivered to CHA and the bucket-filler tickets will be displayed at school. Students who come face-to-face can get the hearts and tickets at school.
