Cabarrus County Schools Student Realignment Study Information

  • The Student Realignment Committee has begun its work with Cropper GIS, the firm hired by the district to lead this effort. Committee members were selected from more than 100 applications submitted earlier this spring.

This page is designed to serve as a repository for all materials related to the student realignment process. Please reference the important links that are located on this page to gain a full understanding of the process and progress of the realignment committee.

The process is fully transparent, and members of the public are encouraged to follow the important work of the committee. Public members are welcome to attend committee meetings as observers, but cannot participate at the committee meetings. Even though they cannot participate in the meeting discussions, members of the public are encouraged to provide ongoing input via the feedback form (link also provided below).

Please reference the timeline link to the right, and meeting locations will be posted prior to meetings.

Also, there will be two public information sessions (August 28th and November 7), which are designed to update the public on the committee's progress. Locations are still to be determined. The public will also have the opportunity at these meetings to talk with committee members, staff, and consultants around large-format maps of DRAFT options.  The format of the public information sessions is not 'open-mic' style, but rather an online survey will be available for all members of the public to provide their input.

Thank you for your commitment to the process, and we look forward to working with the Cabarrus County community on this very important endeavor!
