2021 SECU Scholarship Application

The SECU Foundation and State Employee’s Credit Union members have provided the People Helping People Scholarship Program since 2004. Each of the 115 NC School Districts will receive a minimum of one scholarship valued at $10,000 (payable @ $1,250 per semester) to attend one of the 16 constituent campuses of the UNC System. Each high school in Cabarrus County Schools is allowed to submit one nominee to go to the district level to be interviewed by a committee to be considered for SECU People Helping People Scholarship opportunity.
You must be a US Citizen and NC Resident, either a SECU member or eligible for membership through parent/guardian, have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrated leadership, excellence of character, integrity, and community involvement.
Your completed application packet is due to the S3 office or your School Counselor by 2/22/2021.
*Counselor will attach your transcript to the application, so you do not need to request a transcript to be included with the application.
