**Virtual College Fairs!
College Board is hosting a regional college fair February 6th & 23rd, and March 7th & 11th. Each national region will have its own date and you may attend as many of them as you'd like! Click here to see the regions offered and to register!
The Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC) is hosting a virtual college fair on Thursday Feb.11th from 5pm-7:45pm. They are also hosting college planning workshops called "mini camps" on Feb.6th & 10th for one hour. Register for either event by referencing the flier or clicking here! Happy exploring!
Due to COVID, the traditional CCS College Fair held at the Cabarrus Arena will not take place this year. However, you are still able to explore numerous college options virtually! CACRAO has compiled a list of topic discussions and colleges/universities you can select from to view the presentation. Motivation (10th-12th) - Lacking fuel in your vehicle of productivity? Tired of the gear being stuck in "PARK"? This group will help you to identify the differences between internal and external motivation, and how each play a role in our levels of productivity. You will also learn about the importance of task completion in the absence of motivation, a reality that you will encounter more as you move closer to the postsecondary world
Anxiety (all grades) - Anxiety is not an uncommon experience. However, at times this experience can be overwhelming and cause us to avoid people, tasks, and other responsibilities. The good news is anxiety can be managed. Join this small group to understand the science behind anxiety in addition to learning how to identify personal triggers, various ways to help manage your anxiety, and healthy alternative responses
Self-Esteem (all grades) - Do you find yourself constantly struggling with your overall sense of self-worth and personal value? Want to learn better ways of embracing and appreciating the uniqueness that is you? Join this group to begin the challenge of dismantling negative narratives and reshaping current perceptions into ones that are healthy, positive, and affirming
