Mrs. Amanda Linker Selected as Teacher of the Year for MPMS
Every year the faculty and staff vote for Teacher of the Year. This year, the MPMS honor went to Mrs. Linker, an eighth grade science teacher. Mrs. Amanda Linker is an important member of the MPMS family. Graduating from MPHS in 2004, she rejoined the MP family three years ago when she came back to teach eighth grade science. She was a NC Teaching Fellow and earned her degree at Eastern Carolina. She started her career in Davidson County and taught there for five years before coming to MPMS. Her enthusiasm, kindness, knowledge, and hard work make her an asset to our whole school. Mrs. Linker loves to watch her students grow as science students. She really enjoys watching the light bulb moments when her students “get it” and their realization that their hard work is paying off with understanding. Congratulations, Mrs. Linker!
