Redistricting Overview FAQs
Important Note:
This information only addresses redistricting, not students who are temporarily relocated to Charles E. Boger Elementary due to construction.
Q: When is the redistricting effective?
A: August 2016

Q: What are the boundaries?
A: Please see the Elementary boundary map here, and the Middle/High boundary map here.

Q: Where will transportation be provided?
A: K-5 Elementary students will be provided transportation to MPES.  Elementary students wishing to remain at ROES (temporarily transitioning to CEBES during construction) will be allowed to do so but parents are responsible for transportation.
  • 6-8 Middle school students will be provided transportation to CMS* or MPMS.
  • 9-12 High school students will be provided transportation to CHS* or MPHS.
  • *Students wishing to remain at CMS or CHS will be provided transportation for 3 years. Beginning August 2019, transportation will be provided to school of residence only.

Q: Can I transfer my child to a different school?
A: Transfers will be approved based on hardship.  For information contact Sarah Morton at 704-262-6254 or

Q: What if I want my student to remain at their current school?
A: If your student plans to attend any school other than their redistricted school (MPES, MPMS, MPHS) you must fill out a transfer application.  Transfer applications will be available April 1st, 2016 and must be submitted by June 15th, 2016.
