•  In math, students are working on the measurement unit.  Students are focusing on inches, feet, yards, meters, and centimeters.  Students need to be able to use the proper measuring tool for the item being measured and also know how to estimate without a tool. 
    We are continuing solving word problems with unknowns in all positions.  Students self choose the strategy, open number line/base ten/expanded form,  to solve the problems.  Students are focusing on addition and subtraction within 1000. 
     
    Students can practice math skills by going through Clever from the school webpage and clicking on iReady.  Once in iReady, click on math.  Students can also click on BrainPop Jr. and choose the various math topics.  There are easy quizzes and hard quizzes the students can choose to do to check understanding. I am also including printable sheets link to use.
     
     
     
  • In reading, students are learning to build stamina, increase volume, and holding conversations about a text across a series.  Students are taking ownership of how and what they are reading.  Please make sure that the guided reading baggies are being returned to school daily with assignments completed. 

    Students can practice reading skills by going through Clever from the school webpage and clicking on iReady.  Once in iReady, click on reading.  Students can also click on BrainPop Jr. and choose the various reading topics.  There are easy quizzes and hard quizzes the students can choose to do to check understanding. Students can also go on MyOn and choose leveled texts.  There are activities the kids can do with the text.  Look for any projects I have assigned. 
     
     

     

  •   In science, students are learning about states of matter and weather.   

     Students can learn more about these topics by going through Clever from the school webpage and clicking on BrainPop Jr.    There are easy quizzes and hard quizzes the students can choose to do to check understanding. Students can also go on MyOn and choose leveled texts about these units.    There are activities the kids can do with the text.  Look for any projects I have assigned.
