Mrs. Alison Moore
The 2021-22 school year marks my 11th year as Principal at Cox Mill Elementary and my 30th year in education!! I have been an administrator in Cabarrus County for 20 years. I started the administrative portion of my career as the Asst. Principal at W.R. Odell in 2001. I moved to R. Brown McAllister as Asst. Principal in 2002. I served R. Brown for 7 1/2 years as Asst. Principal and Principal, until 2010 when I transferred to Cox Mill Elementary as Principal.
Prior to administration, I was an elementary school teacher in Rowan County from 1992-2001. I taught various grade levels (K, 3, 4, and 5). During the 1992-1993 school year, I served three schools as a Spanish teacher for elementary school. I have spent my career in the elementary school and could not imagine a better life. I love the time spent with children, families and educators as we inspire the children to become anything they can imagine.
On a personal note, my husband, Aaron, and I live in Rowan County with our two children, Ainsley and Anderson, three dogs. Ainsley is off studying to be a Middle School Math teacher as a Teaching Fellow, at NC State University. Anderson graduated from Carson High School in 2021 and has joined the working world. We continue to fill our time with family fun and various volunteering opportunities in the community (scouts, church, etc.).
