Ms. Lisa Bolumen
I am delighted to be at Coltrane Webb STEM Elem. As a counselor, I get to serve the students, staff, and parents/guardians. I started in education teaching 3rd graders in Ohio. I also taught students in grades K-8th. After moving to NC, I spent over 10 years working with middle school students as a teacher or school counselor. Then, I chose to serve families as a counselor in private practice which I still enjoy doing. This is my 6th year at Coltrane Webb. Usually, I am available Mon.-Fri. (not Tues.) around 9:30-2:30p.m.
As a school counselor, I provide social/emotional lessons to 3rd & 4th graders. I also meet with students individually, implement peer mediation, and offer small groups (topics based on students' need). During virtual learning, I'm happy to talk with the students via the phone or the computer. I plan to do "connect groups" for interested students based on various topics pertaining to them.
Outside of school, I enjoy being with family & friends, reading, writing, walking, and spending time outdoors.
If I can help you and/or your child, you are welcome to contact me via email or phone.
I invited 3rd & 4th grade students to join me on Wed. or Thurs. each week or when they would like to join. Students can click on the TEAMS link which is on my canvas page. This is an opportunity for the 3rd-4th graders to connect with other students in their grade, check in with Ms. Bolumen, and enjoy sharing a different topic each week.
