Mrs. Dianna Singler

Welcome to Learning Connections and Hickory Ridge High School.

We are embarking on a new journey with ON-LINE Learning due to COVID-19. Using the http://cabarrus.instructure.com/ link to gain access to Canvas courses, students will find daily announcements for each of their classes with expectations for the day. Within these announcements are links to the NCVPS courses when appropriate. Communication is through Remind and email so contact us at any time if you need anything at all.

One semester is now complete and we are ready to begin the second half of the school year. The Learning Connections program allows students to strive for their highest potential within an environment that nurtures special limitations and fosters growth.

In my fifth year of teaching, the LC classroom provides supports to students as they work toward achieving their academic and social goals.  Starting a second career, I earned a Master's of Art in Teaching in Special Education in December 2016 after spending more than 20 years in the public relations and marketing field – working for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and with various NASCAR drivers and sponsors. My bachelor’s degree is in public relations from the University of Florida.

During the Spring 2020 semester in Learning Connections, we will be collaborating on the following subjects in the classroom:

1st period: Biology and Physical Science

2nd period: Math 1 and Math 3, Computer Programming

3rd period: World History and American History 1

Please feel free to contact me anytime through email (dianna.singler@cabarrus.k12.nc.us) or phone (704-260-6630).  I will return emails and phone calls within 24 hours at the latest.

Looking forward to another great year!
