Mrs. Kristen Johnson
For the 2020-2021 school year I will be teaching 5th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies. I began teaching after graduating from UNC Charlotte in 2003. I have experience teaching Kindergarten, First, Second, Third and Fourth grades since I began my teaching career. This year I will have the pleasure of teaching with a WONDERFUL 5th Grade Team! My partner teacher is Mrs. Anna Downing. She will be teaching Math and Science to our students.
I appreciate family involvement and enjoy working with all my families closely to ensure academic and future success. I am looking forward to another great year at Cox Mill Elementary and another great year of learning for our students!

Child Nutrition Regulations prevent students from bringing outside food, cakes, cupcakes or cookies into the school cafeteria during lunch hours. If you would like to share treats, please be mindful not to send any peanut/nut products. CHECK THE COX MILL PARENT HANDBOOK FOR MORE INFORMATION REGARDING SCHOOL APPROVED TREATS THAT MAY BE SENT IN.
Email is my preferred contact method. Every attempt is made to respond to emails within 24 hours Mon-Fri. If you have an emergency or no email access, feel free to contact the school. During the instructional day a message will be taken and I will respond as soon as possible.
