My name is Mrs. Paxton, and I am the PBIS/MTSS Coach for Irvin this school year. This is my seventh year of teaching and sixth at Irvin. Previously I was part of the EC Resource team here at the school. I look forward to supporting staff and students in my new role including targeting academic and behavioral needs. I love being able to problem solving for individual needs and supporting teachers in finding ways to create success for their students.
A little about me... I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where I earned my Bachelor's degree in both Special Education, and Elementary Education. I moved to North Carolina from Wisconsin in 2013, and it is where most of my family still lives. I graduated in May 2018 from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro with my master's degree in Elementary Math Education.
I am a huge football fan, and am excited for another fantastic year from the Green Bay Packers!! :) In my spare time I enjoy attending sporting events, cooking, and hanging out with my pets, Emmy and Lilo. Last year my husband and I welcomed our first child; her name is Morgan.
At Irvin I am also involved with developing the Restorative Circles lessons, implementing school-wide Ready Bodies, the School's House System, and ClassDojo.
I am looking forward another productive school year!
