• Cabarrus County Elementary Schools

    There are 19 elementary schools in Cabarrus County— 16 traditional elementary schools, 3 magnet schools, and 1 open enrollment program —for students in kindergarten through fifth grades.  The magnet schools include the IB Primary Years Programme at Weddington Hills Elementary School (beginning in the fall of 2014) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programs at Coltrane-Webb Elementary School and Patriots Elementary School.  A Spanish Immersion open enrollment program is also available at Carl A. Furr Elementary School. 
     
    Cabarrus County Schools also provides PreK programs at Long School, the Mary Frances Wall Center, Irvin Elementary School, Rocky River Elementary School, Carl A. Furr Elementary School, and Winecoff Elementary Schools.  Our PreK programs use the Creative Curriculum Framework to provide students with developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
