Principal's Message

  • Mr. Chris Myers
A Message from Chris Myers, Principal
Welcome Trojan Nation to the spring semester of the 2020-2021 school year. It goes without saying that the past year has been challenging to all of us: students, staff members, and parents. I believe we all would agree everyone has learned a lot and grown immensely over the course of the fall semester, our first full semester in this hybrid learning model. Along the way, there have been many challenges, successes, and learning moments that have made us better as students and educators. To that end, the Northwest Cabarrus High School staff cannot say thank you enough for your flexibility, support, and trust, as everyone has worked to navigate this new “normal” since last March.
Moving forward, we are excited about the things learned and opportunities for growth in the final months of the school year. As your principal, my biggest advice for all students would be to stay connected, seek help, and ask questions. Your best resource is your teachers, so be sure to communicate with them if you have any specific learning needs. Additionally, as most of you are aware, our Student Services team at NCHS is exceptional, and is always looking for ways to help make your time at NCHS the best it can be.
In closing, I have always said that NCHS has something academically, artistically, and athletically for every one of our students. Granted it looks different this year; however, I have confidence that we will see a return to normalcy in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, let us know what we can do to help, spend time with your families and those you care about, take time for yourself, and know that we cannot wait to see you all again! Thank you for all that you do to continue the rich tradition of excellence that is Northwest. Go Trojans!
    Chris Myers
