I have loved creating things for as long as I can remember!  Although I did not have any art classes as a child, I had a third grade teacher that let me create all her bulletin boards and posters, which made me feel extremely special.  I continued my love of art in high school and then college.  I graduated in 1990 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Art Education with a concentration in ceramics from East Carolina University.  I am a National Board Certified teacher and this year is my 30th year teaching.  It will be my 27th year teaching in NC!!!  I love to draw, paint and create.  Very exciting!    I am so thrilled to work with each and every child and I learn something new from them every year!  It makes my heart happy to see them expressing themselves and the beautiful art they create.  I love it!  Go Cowboys!!!
