Home of the Mavericks
Current NC legislation (SL 2020-3) includes a provision for students not initially placed in advanced math courses to request the administration of the End of Grade (EOG) tests for the mathematics grade or course in which the student was enrolled for the 2019-2020 school year, solely for the purpose of determining math placement for the 2020-2021 school year according to Cabarrus County Schools criteria.
If your child has not been placed in an advanced math course, and you wish for your student to be included in this opportunity, you may request an EOG assessment by completing the EOG/EOC Advanced Math Assessment Request Form. Testing will take place at H.E. Winkler Middle School this summer. Parents will be contacted via email for testing details.
If you have any questions, please contact Assistant Principal Dr. Courtney Smith at Courtney.Smith@Cabarrus.k12.nc.us or by calling the school.

We had so many wonderful interactions with our Mavericks this year! We miss you all and are sad our time with you was cut short. Every student is valued and loved here at HiRMS, and we are grateful for the experiences we shared.
In the course of the year, there were students whose character, effort, and achievement were above and beyond our expectations. We want to honor them with our own virtual versions of the end-of-year awards ceremonies! The videos below highlight these students and their accomplishments - please join us in celebrating them.

Artsonia is a gallery of student art portfolios where young artists (grades PK-12) display their art worldwide. We have a vibrant community of art teachers who also share their ideas and lesson plans.
School Nutrition Applications are now available.
A postcard has been sent to every registered household in Cabarrus County Schools in the month of July that advises to apply online for the upcoming school year. The application can accessed by clicking here.
Postcards will also be given to the front office staff to give out to newly registered students and others that ask for the information. The student ID number is required on the applications so please ensure it is recorded on the application/postcard. If you are not sure of your student's id number, please contact the school.
