This year, our school yearbook will be ordered ONLINE only through Josten's. You can also order by phone at 877-767-5217. The yearbook will be a soft cover 48 page book and will cost just $15 as in years past. The deadline for ordering is Friday, May 8th. Congratulations to Ann Marie Perhai for being selected Mt. Pleasant Elementary School Teacher of the Year by her peers. Mrs. Perhai is an Art Teacher that is loved by all of our students and she encourages creative and active learning with her students. She has been at Mt. Pleasant for three years, and has been a teacher for eight years. She is married to Josh and they enjoy traveling and outdoor activities.
Congratulations to the A-PAW-LO 11 team (#28124M) and the Techie Tigers team (#28124P) who participated in the NC Western VEX IQ qualifier at JM Robinson High School on Saturday, January 11th. Both of our teams made it to the finals! Techie Tigers (pictured back row) finished fourth. A-PAW-LO 11 (pictured front row) finished first and won the Teamwork Champion award with Vextacular. This award qualifies the team to participate for the NC State Championship held in March.
Congratulations to Mrs. Annette Hammill for being selected as Teacher Assistant of the Year at MPES. Mrs. Hammill has been an assistant for 26 years. She has worked primarily in first grade but moved to kindergarten for the beginning of this year because of school needs. She helps in kindergarten math and reading groups and also assists with small reading groups daily in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. She is a valuable asset at our school. Thanks for all that you do for our students and staff!
