Congratulations to Stacie Park - MPES Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Park has worked in the fourth grade at MPES since January of 2013. Fellow staff members say she goes above and beyond the call of duty for her classroom, school, and community. Her classroom management is outstanding and her students learn so much from her every day. She has made many significant contributions to our school this year. She has served as a co-chair for our curriculum committee and has been part of our school's TLT team. She has many good ideas on how to integrate technology in the classroom, as well as share it with fellow colleagues.
Our school’s robotics team, Rip Roaring Tigers (Team #28124M), competed in their first competition at JM Robinson High School this past weekend. In the teamwork challenge ranking, our team placed 28th out of 50 teams there. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations to Ms. Joy Whidden for being selected as Teacher Assistant of the Year. Ms. Whidden teaches all grade levels technology skills as part of our Encore classes. She also assists with our third graders with their reading and math skills in both small and whole group settings. Thanks for all that you do for our students and staff!
