Degrees and Certifications:
Hello. My name is Michel Lapalombella, or as the students call me, Mrs. L! This is my 10th year at Bethel and I am so happy and excited to be back after a leave of absence for the 2016-2017 school year. Bethel students definitely have my heart and your children who may struggle with speech or language issues are the reason I come to work each day! I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for 27 years. My first 16 years were spent in a developmental rehabilitation practice, where I collaborated with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Educational Specialists, and Psychologists to treat a variety of speech and language disorders in children from birth to young adulthood. I came to the Bethel and Cabarrus County Schools in 2006 and have learned so much from watching children grow and learn in their daily routines during the school year. As well as working with your children, I serve as a Regional Lead for 11 other Speech Therapists in the county. My goal for your child is to help him or her to become a confident and successful communicator. Please feel free to contact me any time with questions and concerns regarding your child and check out my “Parent Links” to find out more about speech and language!
