Mrs. Candace R. Pauls

Hello Miners, my name is Candace R. Pauls and I am thrilled to be your 8th grade counselor at Concord Middle School.  This is going to be a fun year filled with learning, growing and lots of new adventures.  I cannot wait to get to know you and your family!

I began my professional career 26 years ago, working in the clinical field of foster care, juvenile justice and mental health.  I am proud to say that my previous experiences, paved the way for me to further my profession in the area of education.  Previously, I worked for Rowan Salisbury Schools for 5 years, as an high school counselor.  This will be my 5th year at Concord Middle School and I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to pursue my passion in working with students.

I am married to a retired Army Veteran. Together we have a beautiful daughter, Katelyn, who will be attending midddle school this year.  We also have an adorable pet chihuahua, Journee. I enjoy traveling, cooking, shopping and spending quality time with family.

As a school counselor, my primary goal is to promote the academic, personal and social development of all students.  My hope is that this school year will be full of fun and successful experiences for all students.  I look forward to offering individual and group counseling support to the students, staff, families and the communities.
