For the 2014-2015 school year, students at NCMS will be expected to participate in a Summer Reading Program.Summer hours at the Media Center are Mondays and Thursdays only from 9am to 4pm for students. All summer reading assignments are due the first day of school, August 25, 2013, and a hard copy (paper) should be turned in to the student’s Homeroom teacher that day. Transition Camp for rising 9th graders will be on August 6, 2014 from 9-12 in the NCHS Gymnasium. Students will receive their schedules, tour the school, get tips from upperclassmen to help them be more successful, meet with other incoming freshman, participate in team building activities, set goals for the next four years, and learn about clubs and sports….just to name a few! You will also get a Freshman Survival Guide with lots of important information! A pizza lunch will be provided at no charge to all students participating in the camp.
