  • Congratulations to our 8th Grade Band members for their outstanding performance at the South Central District Music Performance Assessment on March 10, 2015 at Wingate University. Northwest was the only middle school in Cabarrus county to play a grade III program of music; this music is more difficult and requires a higher level of sight reading. The students handled this advanced music with ease and all of the judges commented on their maturity level and musicianship. The band received the highest rating of Superior from all four of the judges! Way to go Northwest Cabarrus 8th grade band members!
