    wg
The NCMS Winterguard competed at the Concord High School Winter Classic on Saturday, Feb.6, 2016. This competition is a CWEA circuit show and there were nine guards that competed in the Cadet(MS) Class. Our guard finished in first place scoring at least eight points higher than the closest competitor!  We have been the CWEA champions for the past three years and look forward to representing our school at this year’s championships.  Way to go Titans!!!

  • Join NCMS in our inaugural Random Act of Kindness Week.  In an effort to demonstrate the importance of thinking of others and the wonderful feeling it can bring, NCMS is hosting RAK Week February 8-12.  We are also honoring 12 year old Gabriel Jacobs, who always thought of others.  Gabriel passed away last April, but we will keep his spirit alive!  In addition to RAK Week, we are also hosting Spirit Week, where our students will participate in different dress up days.

Mrak onday - Sports Team Day: Dress up to represent your favorite team.

Tuesday - Wear Black and Red for Gabe; his favorite team's colors.

Wednesday - $1.00 Hat Day: all proceeds go to the Gabe's Heart Foundation.

Thursday - Wacky Tacky Day: pull out the tackiest clothes you own!

Friday - Dress up Day because we are going forward; dress for your future.

Through these activities, we will honor Gabriel, encourage our students and staff to connect with each other, and encourage all to reach out to those we don’t know very well.  Building relationships is an integral part of helping children to cope in a world that can sometimes be frightening, and this is one way to combat those feelings!
