R. Brown McAllister - School Resource Officer

R. Brown would like to WELCOME!
Officer Maria Fink - SRO
 Officer Fink

This is Officer Fink with the Concord Police department. I am so thrilled to be a part of the Bobcats team this year. Thus far the year has been going great and it has been a wonderful experience to be a part of the team. I’ve had the privilege to work closely with Mrs. Byrd and put together some wonderful lessons for the students. We have recently taught the 5th grade class about alcohol and drug awareness for red ribbon week. The classes were wonderful and the children learned a lot through the lesson and practical exercise. I have also taught the Kindergarten classes about the 911 center and when it is appropriate to call. They also had fun learning about Policing and all of the tools we carry on our belt. I think the taser was the most popular item. They loved it! I look forward to putting together presentations for the rest of the grade levels about community policing and how to be safe within the school and outside of school. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child’s education and safety. Mrs. Ward has done a wonderful job on pushing to get our school key fobs for our doors and updating our fence security. It’s a work in progress but we are getting there. I look forward to a great rest of the year! I will soon be on Facebook so [like] our school page to have recent updates sent to you along with classes being offered and our school improvements targeted toward safety. See you soon!

Spotlight on Community Partners

We are very excited to have Academic Learning Center (again)or (for the first time) this year as a partner with us in meeting the needs of our students. ALC is an after school tutoring program that pays our teachers to stay after school and work with students in reading and in math.
Students are chosen by the teachers and principals based on test scores and classroom assessments.
